Whirlpool washer for sale. needs repair. Repair man says it needs a belt. I bought a new washer. $50.00 firm. Washer runs great! however the belt broke. The repair guy said the belt is under $20.00.

Did they offer these in other colors besides white?

This style cabinet - with other styles of control panels - was offered in White, Turquiose, Yellow, Pink, (all unshaded.) Also Coppertone, Avocado, Fawn, Sapphire Blue, Harvest Gold, (all shaded), and Almond, Coffee, unshaded Avocado, unshaded Harvest. After the cabinet front indentations were removed they also came in Toast and Platinum. No shortage of colors to choose from. I don't think I missed any.

they came in many colors......harvest gold, white, avocado were most popular, brown may have still been available, don't think almond was yet....
this would be a cool machine to add to a collection....standard capacity, manual filter for drama....
most likely 4 cycles....Normal, PermPress, Knits, Gentle.....
only 2 water levels for this one....

Imagine having color options today - anything close to what was desribed,....it's really amazing.
Thanks Tom and Martin . I've been admiring some of the older Whirlpools, BD's that they are.
One such pair, not exactly this model, I've attached, belonging to one of the aw.org members. I like certain solid colors as well as certain shaded, too.

The last time this was up I called 3x left messages, sent 3 E-mails never heard a thing.... sent another E-mail 2 days ago have not heard a thing after sending this one. I wonder if it is legit ???

Replace The Belt and It Will Probably Last Another 30 Years
These were great washers, BUT there is no possible way that just replacing the belt will make it last anywhere close to another 30 years.
If this washer was to be used 5-10 times per week you would be very lucky to get even 5 more years use out of it.
Many NEW washers will last 30 years, you have to remember that this WP BD Washer had VERY LIGHT use to have lasted this long and the New WP BD Washers used in a similar light usage situation will easily last 30 years.

I was hypothetically speaking. I wouldn't expect any machine of that age to last that long without doing a complete overhaul. I was trying to emphasize what I felt that it was a decent built machine. Wasn't my intention to mislead and make you think that it would.

maybe it's actually gone and they haven 't deleted the ad? This happened to me with a couple CL ads.
In fact, I bought a integrated stereo unit from a man, and he left the ad in CL for at least 2-3 weeks or more after I bought it from him.
