Hi sun89. Did you try to run the diagnostic cycle on your machine to figure out what’s wrong with it?
That’s the first step in fixing it, control board seldom fail in washing machines. Yes there is one similar to yours that had problems with the water level sensor on the main board, but aside from that we seldom see problems. I’m a servicer that works on washing machines every day. I think I’ve probably replaced somewhere between four and six boards in the last two years. It’s not the most common problem by any means.
Run the diagnostic cycle figure out what’s not happening is it not filling for rinse for example a much more common problem is a bad inlet valve
Advice from Matt is about useless. He says he’s had his machine for 40 years with no problems. He’s only had the house for 20 years with that machine, a while ago he said his GE refrigerator has run since 1985 turns out to be false, it’s a 2005 refrigerator, lol

John, I'm gonna say this ONLY ONCE......
You're continued harrassment of me on here will be reported to Alan if you intend to make me look like some clueless idiot.
Your post reflects that you don't have a clue about my life, my home, or my experience or talents.
That goes to anyone else that makes comments against me.
It's childish and not appreciated.
I have the documents, Owner's Manuals, and sales recipts for my appliances handed to me directly from the past homeowners, which clearly state the condition and any if servicing was performed to the appliances.
The Maytag was NEVER serviced...... And I never said I had it for 40 years.... get your facts straight......period!
And your comment about my GE refridgerator is NOT a 2005 model, because 2005 is WHEN i purchased the house - WITH the fridge already in it.
The date code on that fridge shows that it's a 1985 model.
So....... KNOCK IT OFF already!
