Wisk Powder

circa 2000 (I believe). Found this last night in a store in Memphis. It is a white powder with a sensational scent, great sudsing and overall a good product. Definitely something that unilever should reintroduce to go head-to-head with Tide. I would consider this as good as Tide - update the formula, new graphics and a killer ad campaign and this product could be positioned as a high-end everyday detergent.

Wisk Powder and Liquid

I would like to find some Wisk Powder around here, as well as the Wisk Liquid. No luck finding it at Hy-Vee or Wal-Mart, where I usually shop. That powder does sound interesting, as I once found a head line about it either on Wisk.com or Unilever.com.--Laundry Shark

Nabbed three boxes of Wisk "Free" powder from a local Indian beauty supply/drug type store. Must have been old stock from when they bought the store, which has been at the same location since god made dirt and spit. This detergent can be sudsy, but have found that one tablespoon along with a teaspoon or so of STPP does a decent job.

Wisk powder "wisked" away?

I seem to recall a few years ago that Unilever was winnowing out marginal products to focus on national (or international) brands (Dove, for example) which could use the same campaign in Glasgow as in Granite City. That's why Sunlight dishwashing detergents were spun off to Phoenix Brands (after the white Dove liquid detergent became Sunlight Sensitive Skin), for example. I think Wisk powder (nee Wisk Power Scoop) was one of those products. Surf powder and liquid were blended into the "all" line of products, as "Surf-all" powder (sort of the Maypool or Whirltag of laundry detergents)...
