After a mayor overhaul on my moms washer (Miele W3741 - spider corrosion - replaced it with a steel one), I felt a bit overconfident to take on this "job" to please one of my colleagues.
In short - person buys washer - washer runs for 18 months - washer breaks glass door (see picture) - Samsung warranty doesn't cover it - person washes with a bucket underneath the washer...
Apart from Samsung not wanting to replace it under warranty, they claim user error..., I searched the internet for a replacement glass but was not able find just the glass part. I found however a full add-wash door assembly but was unable to link this particular model to the "right" door. Found this part number DC97-22267A - and the prices are steep... 250-400 euro / dollar...

Found a video from BootsOwen on youtube only to discover that the wires from the small Add-Wash door just make the repair even more interesting / complicating...
Shout-out to you guys on any advise to my approach...
1) Buy the expensive door assembly (figuring out the right model is probably just some extra googling away...)
2) Buy the standard glass (readily available for 70-100 euros / dollars) but need to figure out how to condemn the wiring from the 2 safety locks on the small Add-wash door...
What is adding to the decision is the fact that while googling, I found out, the design of the Add-Wash door is making the window more fragile and prone to leaking... I would prefer my second option in that case, to eliminate the risk door problem in the future, but the wiring...
I looking forward to any good advice! Enjoy the upcoming holidays!
