I love it...beautiful. Enjoy

....and who allowed these things appliances to pass out of style or from being "de Rigeur?" (Necessary.)

When are manufacturers going to put rotisseries back in full-sized ovens..? Besides BOSCH which is about $10,000 LOL.

kevinpreston:"Dizzy Chicken" as my mom called the meal as she prepared it in a machine similar to yours. Was fun watching the chicken turn and cook.Your machine reminded me of the one she had.Don't remember what brand it was.She now has another rotissirie machine but don't remember what brand it is.

Interesting notes

My wife got this off Ebay like 6 or 7 years ago. It was cheap, and oddly, missing one of its rear peg feet. If you don't push on it, it balances fine believe it or not, just on its three feet. I forget sometimes it is missing one. I keep saying I will make one for it, but just don't miss it.

It came with a drip pan, a rack, a cookie sheet and a little bent piece of metal that we have no idea what to use it for. It can bake and broil, but we have only used it for the application as shown.

I need to get some good chrome cleaner and brush and redo the lid. It was perfect when we got it, but we have used it so much it is a bit discolored as you can see.

Tonight, I cooked a 2.5 lb tri tip on medium for 1.5 hours, basically the formula I always use with it, and man it was perfect!

Kevin ,that vintage Kenmore oven is TIGHT!!

Yum! Those tri tips are GREAT! One cannot find those in Indiana. My uncle from Califonia introduced us to the tri tip.
I love your vintage chrome Kenmore Countertop oven. That would be just the thing to have during the hot summer months. Take it outside and plug it in even, to avoid heating up the kitchen.
Vintage "smalls" are so much fun to have. Thanks for sharing..... Now what time should we be over for dinner again?? (:

Another fun rotisserie

Here's a groovy GE I found at St. Vinnies a few years back. According to Virgina Garvey (the Manager of The Home Economics Portable Appliance Department!!!) it will help you prepare "Delectable, Perfectly-Prepared foods", such as "Bachelor's Meatloaf and "Company Crab Cakes"!!!!

And the rotisserie stick is handy for defending yourself in the case of kitchen violence ;-)

I can hear that sucker running already

Those metal square reduction gears resonating through the metal cabinet make a noise like nothing else.

My grandpa had one of those. Used to sit and watch it rotiss the pork to juicy perfection.

Remember the Barbeque pit rotisseries? My grandpa had this COOOL late 60s-early 70s charcoal grill with a window lid and rotisserie attachment. I actually have film (transferred to video) of the thing in action. no sound but you can see a beautiful pork roast rotissing away.

Pork roasts are tricky in the Ronco. You only have 1 rod supporting most of it and the other holding on to a piece.

The traditional way is to run the spit rod along the bone and stick the forks or whatever wherever they can grip. Hold both ends and give it a turn. If it's unbalanced try again. If it's pretty much balanced (it's never perfect) than start'er up!

Also I remember pausing to tighten the forks on each end because of the meat shrinking.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

A 'Burg!

Does it really do Quad? It has to be some kind of matrix surround or something like that.

Now I'm jealous.

It is supposedly a conversion...

That some dealers did with factory materials. I had been discussing this with some other jukebox experts here and outside, and it does not appear to have the Quad setup as it has been described, but it is not clear either. It did work at one point, now it needs a good service. It is one trippy machine.

The standard one has the same design in the top panel as the bottom, it is the Matador model. No one can define how the top came to be, it's not been found in any books yet, so it must be a factory sponsored, dealer conversion....

Wow...that Seeburg is too cool. Screams 70's.

I bet the Bee Gees and KC & The Sunshine Band would sound good on there!!

"Get down tonight...get down tonight..."

Now if you want to rotiss the whole pig

You'll need this King Size (it sez so on the glass) Lido rotisserie oven from Black Angus of Wested Conn. These ones date back to the 50's and 60's huge, about the size of large microwave, but not very heavy, porcelain interior, chrome of course.

Hi Kevin! Thank you for the invitation. I will be vacationing in L.A. next Summer,at my cousins home.So I am sure that we will be meeting somtime during that visit. I will be glad to see your classic car collection also. Will be flying out,but if I spot a car that sends me,might be driving back.(:

That is cool Rick!

Totally look forward to it. Have never met anyone from the forum in person. Maybe we can get also look over at that bizarre Applicance Remanufacturing Center before it turns to dust...! That's the one that USED to be cool, but is now disintegrating...but they still do have that white Flair and a few other choice bits.
