Greg and Ken
Those are also 1972 models. The catalog refered to them as 700 series models, though nowhere on most Kenmores of this era was their series printed as such on any of the consoles.
The detergent dispenser lids/covers and their differences are what Sears did best back then - they update a part that doesn't change the model's features but looks different in appearance. The new part has a new part number, thus they have to assign a new model number with associated parts list.
I have two of these machines, one in Avocado with the old-style dispenser cover, and one in Coppertone with the newer, flat lid cover.
Sears sold these machines in the following model numbers:
110.7204700
110.7204701
110.7204702
110.7204703
110.7204705
110.7204707 (no clue where the 704 and 706 went)
Something was different between each of these models. I know the timer part number changed somewhere mid-stream. My coppertone machine is a 703 if I recall and is uses a different timer, even in the new replacement versions, than the 700 and 701.
The change in dispenser cover assemblies would account for another model revision. I couldn't say right off what the others changed.
From what I can tell in the parts drawings, the only model to have the old-style two piece cover with the chrome and the colored lid is the 700 model, or the original. Looks like the rest have the flat cover.
