HELP !!! Newbie here, sorry if I don't know where to ask

Hi all, My name is Steve I'm from Long Island. I always try to repair, use and keep working old appliances, cars, etc. Because I feel they are superior to everything made these days.

Have a problem with my 1969 MayTag clothes washer model A206. The timer has burnt contacts. Timer motor is fine, which was rebuilt with BRASS gear by DAVE in Pennsylvania. Now the timing mech. is no good.

OK, the timer was replaced back in 1985 once already with an MTS rebuilt model # 2-4454 Kingston DIV Kokomo Ind.
The problem I have is that the replacement of WP204454 or 204545 is not exact. My timer has 18 spade connectors on only ONE side of the casing including the two timer motor contacts. The replacement has connectors on BOTH sides of the casing adding up to I believe 18 as well. I don't know the pin-out. How do I know which wire goes where? Also does anyone have an exact working timer like mine in the photos or know where to get it? You will see two photos of NEW timer first and the rest of the photos my old timer & dial. I heard Kingston made 2 same models of 204454 & 204454-2

Thank you so much for the invite Al & Mike. My first meet and deffo won't be the last I really enjoyed myself and wish I was able to have had a few more drinks and get merry.

Really wonderful setup and I'm sorry that the maytag dryer wore itself out with my loads haha.

Wonderful to meet everyone as had not met anyone before but Mike. Thanks for arranging it.

Al -thank you so much for your hospitality -wonderful food and lots of laughs. You've a lovely home.

Thanks to Al and Mike for putting on another great Wash-In weekend.
Both myself and Rob had a great time - a great opportunity to meet up with folks from throughout the country and see what is new on the scene.

Glad the the 1501 arrived safely in its new home, after Mark worked some of his magic on it. Love the detail of the dial where, when heating, the outer edge glows red - a lovely touch from Hotpoint.

Then the AEG 800HC ..... Zanussi certainly played their cards right with the S-series design, selling as clones under other brands. Solid machine and glad that one of these AEG-ussi's has been saved ....
