Huge apologies Mike
and all contributors to this thread for such a late addition, work has been manic these last few weeks, along with a few family birthdays and there we are I've not chipped in.
So as with everyone else, what a wonderful weekend and thanks to Al and everyone who contributed to all having such a great time.
And as you can see from my smiles in some off the photos, how thrilling it was to first be surprised and then to get inside the wonderful English electric liberator washing machine, fantastic to see one spin into life after what must be going on 40 years since my aunt had one.
Well scroll to last weekend and mums birthday, the subject was raised, do they remember this machine, well no, `did I have one of those, no don't remember that, I did have an ariston', well they did have the colston xd850 washer dryer after the liberator, but that was as close to ariston that they ever got lol. Mum said how on earth can you remember that. I dispair, I bet everyone on this site remembers every detail of the machines their families had and probably all the neighbours too, it's not even like she doesn't know about my fasinations growing up.
Anyway, just can't wait to get back to working on it and hopefully have it washing again soon.
Mathew
