So, I'm surfing Craigslist tonight, looking for a Maytag. All I want is a nice 806 set. Why is there never an 806 set? Hmmph. But, I saw the words "Montgomery Wards" and clicked the ad. "Hey, Robert -- look at this... Is this anything special?" I say.

...Less than an hour later, we have it in the back of the truck and are on our way home.

I do believe that's a suds saver; thus the extra drain port. I'm fairly certain the upper says "drain" and the lower says "suds"; MORE MORE!!

THAT'S IT THAT'S IT!!!

That's the Wards washer our neighbors bought (my other mother) to replace her 1957 or 1958 L110 Laundromat or (something like that). This washer got paired witgh her Frog Eye Kenmore dryer. She got this fall of 1963 or fall of 1964 right before we got our Norge DispensoMat that following December 23rd. I never thought I'd ever see this washer again. The largest she ever used was medium. Looks hardly used!! This was replaced in like 1972 or 1973 with a 18-20 lb. 3-speed Monkey Norge. Fred ya better hold onto this one!!!

Suds Saver?

Is this the only Norge Suds Saver known to exist? How does it work compared to Maytag? In fact, there ought to be a thread on how different suds saver systems work.
