Ariel Stain Remover - yet another un needed product?

I requested a 3.00 coupon for Tide Stain release that must be used by the 31st.

Of all 3 formulas (liquid, powder, duo pack), which one is recommended for the best results or are they basically the same?

Personally found the stuff useless, and like many other Tide products very heavy in the scent department.

Have a bottle of the liquid, and once it's gone that will be the end of that.

The powdered version contains activated oxygen bleach and enzymes. According to the label, the liquid version contains mainly surfactants and oxygen bleach (hydrogen peroxide). No enzymes listed.

I *think* the packets are a mixture of both or the best of each.

Personally would stick with the powdered version as it contains activated bleach (will work in cool and warm water), as well as enzymes for dealing with all sorts of stains.

If you go with the liquid, their is only one fill line on the cap, and that is too much (IMHO) for a front loader. So either use less "stain release" or add less detergent. Otherwise you may have rinsing issues.

I've been using the Tide Stain Release Pacs and they work pretty well at removing stains if you follow the directions for heavily-stained clothes and use 2 pacs in the load. I signed up for coupons at Tide.com and have been getting a $3-off coupon for Tide Stain Release every couple of months, so it's been tempting (and cheap) to keep restocking it.

Have never tried the powder or liquid versions of Tide Stain Release.

Having said that, I still think Amway's Tri-Zyme works better, and I'm switching back to it as my go-to additive.

I've used the powdered version (which is in packaging identical to the Ariel above, except orange) and it works but I'm not sure it does anything Biz does not.
