Australian television commercials from early 1980's

Cold Power

It was my experience that cold water laundry is very common in Australia and I certainly embraced it, using Cold Power and Omomatic. Even cheepie brands like Hurricaine and other more expensive ones such as Dynamo and Radiant all seemed to do the business in cold water. There is such an aversion to it in the UK with people worrying about skin complaints and poor hygeine. Hasn't done the Aussies any harm!! I realise that in the winter, our cold water is probably too cold but certainly during the warmer months it is perfectly OK.
