Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

WOW!! Thats something else! What a jackass this dude is. Thank you for posting this Steve. I am giving a copy of this to someone at work.

The content of that article makes me want to vomit. What hatred and lies can someone concoct in their sick and twisted mind, is beyond my comprehension.

Those who don't bend, break.

Never under-estimate the ability of a person to twist and distort the truth, regardless of all evidence to the contrary.

The satisfaction of ego and desire to dctate to others how to live and think is an age-old human weakness.

In Easten throught there are many paths to Nirvana. Sadly, in Western thourhgt there is one way; "MY WAY"

Sadder, perhaps, than those doing the mainpulation are those that believe the garbage with NO insight as to the evil-doers motivations and/or "WIFM" (What's in it for me). Beware of those who judge opthers too quickly. They are usually the ones that are insecure and or mentally or emotionally stunted. AS poitned out to me it's oftentimes pure jealousy.

The beautiful thing in life is, give someone enough rope and they eventually hang themselves.

Terrorist Fist Jab indeed!

I am continually amazed that the level of intellectual curiosity in this country is fading so fast. If it's spewed forth on the TV machine, it must be true. Correct? It's stunning how many people really do believe that Fux News has any fairness or balance, even a shred of it. Do they even get the time of day correct? There's probably some sinister purpose to ticking their clocks 10 seconds faster than the rest of the world - so they can claim the scoop on Obama's muslim prayer times.

Read - Read - Read
Turn off the TV machine and READ - the truth is out there - told by actual journalists with standards, ethics and a real commitment to bringing the American people the facts.

Very interesting Reading!
I agree with Greg about the television machine! Truth is not entertaining enough, even as scary as it is today. They (news networks) sit around tables in meetings with actual facts, and everyone's job in the room is to put a spin on the truth, or just plain lie. To make it more interesting, and so it can be argued. This way, they beat a simple story to death, just to have something to talk about on air. It is as if they are scared that there soon will be a shortage of news.
My dear parents. I love them. However they love Fox news. We have had some really heated heart to hearts over it. However, they are washed, and think Fox is the Gospel.
Steve, I love ONN Network! I sent my mom, (who is very witty and sharp) several of my favorite Onion videos. She wrote me back and said she thought this was a "horrible news station". Fox has stolen her brain. I know they will have "Pod" of them somewhere soon.

I am floored by the amount of Americans I meet that think that if Fox News says it------then it comes from the lips of G-D. They are totally brainwashed----almost as if the are no longer able to think on their own. I find it scary and strange. They tend to have a "mob" mentality----or "my club is always right and there can be no other way" mentality.
Very strange.I hesitate to say almost Nazi-like, but thats how it hits me.

In all fairness, in recent years especially, I've met my fair share of far-left wing zealots as well. They also have that strange "mob-mentality".

I don't know. Maybe its the world we now live in that makes them this way. I really don't get it. Back in my day we had really good recreational drugs.

It is not

an exclusively American problem. Over here in Germany, we have a newspaper called "Bild". Literally, "Picture". And, filled as it is with pictures of young people whose qualifications to prevent a milk shortage for the entire planet are not in doubt, it gets read by that group of people which Faux news is aimed at.
(I should mention that public nudity and pictures of naked people are normal, natural and a non-pornographic part of most Wester European life. You will find pictures of beautiful, totally naked men in magazines and journals which have the rank of Smithsonian in the US.)
Anyway, this very same newspaper prints a very thick volume on Sundays called, surprisingly enough: "BILD am Sonntag", always spoken: BAMs. This journal is considerably more neutral and aimed at people who would normally never read BILD during the week.
OK, sorry about the long build-up, but here's the interesting thing. When an article in BAMs conflicts with what the headlines in BILD have been screaming, the editors (same people, same journalists as in BAMs) happily write that that, leftist, liberal-leaning socialist-marxist-scandal-sheet BAMs has been trying to deceive the heartland voters with their lies, again.
And all those people who read BILD believe them, every word.
For those who watch Faux news because they believe in their corporate integrity, nothing you say or do, nothing you 'prove' will change their perspective on reality. They are incapable of neutral reflection, or they wouldn't be watching it in the first place.
Sad, but not an American phenomenon. At all.
I kinda wish folks would be a bit less eager to throw the 'Nazi' charge around. Those monsters killed, tortured and destroyed the lives of over 10 million directly and, if we believe current research (I do) another 30-40 million indirectly. It is a facile and emotionally satisfying charge to level, I do it, too. We shouldn't lessen the suffering of all those Jews, Homosexuals, devout Christians, Roma, handicapped and elderly by debasing that regime of terror through comparisons with the calculating folks at Faux news. The moment they can make money by attacking republicans, they will. Their spite, hatred and dissemination of lies is mercenary, they aren't even genuine enough to search out the truth to hide it.
Hmm, homonym est omen?

Effective slander without consequences

What's really sad about this is that there seems to be no end to the pool of American fools who eat this stuff up. I just got off the phone with a colleague at the Community College where I teach who is a charming, decent, reasonably intelligent person. After a few minutes of heated political talk, she revealed to me that she does indeed believe that Obama is a Muslim, that his biography has been mostly falsified and that he is as anti-american as they come. It sickens me to wonder how many less intelligent people are out there operating under the same delusions brought on by purposeful slander.
