Granny is 86 years old today. She mowed her yard last week (riding mower), fussing about how badly she hurts .... but the point is, she is still able to mow her yard.

RJ is xx years old today. He could mow his yard too, if he wanted. :-)

Glenn, give my best to Granny and very specials to RJ. Today was a milestone for me--20 years ago today I became an official resident of this city because I showed up for work at 8 am to unpack and set up my office (this was a Monday), which had been packed up the previous Fri. in Houston.

Re: Placing Orders in quite Early:

Congrats to Glenn's Granny and even "RJ" and I totally agree, get him off his "Back-Side" and keep him multivated.

And as the Subject Title says: I'm puting my Orders in quite Early, I will on May 3rd be 56-years old this year. I certainly feel like a whole lot older at times, but other times I feel younger and I always take compliments the right way, when given too me.

Peace and Happy Birthday to everyone Celebrating their New Year Age and some their "IQ's" {LOL} as well, Steve

Except for both knees--

which are quite painful this rainy evening, I am delighted to be 45. Delighted.

My life really does not look like I had imagined it would 10 or 15 years ago, but it is pretty good.

Making more of an effort to say "thank you." Making more of an effort to be a "glass half full" person.

Not always easy. I'm living in a less than wonderful place, in a so-so neighbourhood, don't have a car, I have health issues....

However.

I have friends in real life and on the web. I have my dear cat. Pantry and fridge are full. I have some good books. I have appliances!

Making more of an effort to be a

Pessimist => The glass is half empty
Optimist => The glass is half full

Accountant => How full do you want it to be?
Attorney => I can get you the other half.

*SIGH* I'm going to say this just ONCE more-
HAPPINESS IS JUST A THOUGHT AWAY- As in *ONE*

If you really want to recharge your batteries, really READ the next link. This is said to be JC channeled through a medium. I SO KID YOU NOT.

Remember this also, please. If we dont have expectations of life and people we can't be disappointed.

Make the best of what you DO have. And, IMHO give thanks for everything you have; and everything you DON'T have.

LOVE is the only thing that matters.
Way too much said.

One more "life wisdom" for all

This is one that I learned many years ago and try to recite, to myself, when faced with adversity or challenge. "Think you can OR think you can't...either way YOU WILL BE RIGHT!"

As long as you have friends, food and faith...you'll be OK :-)

Night all!
Rich

Your grandmother sounds just like mine. Mine's gonna be 84 this year and she still takes the bus and trolley and does all her own grocery shopping and lives on her own!

This year October (way ahead of time), I'll be 26 while The Hubby will be turning 39.

Happy Birthday to everyone!
