I let my downstairs neighbors/landlord use my Frigidaire Affinity dryer since theirs quit working. This morning I discovered the inside of the drum had all kinds of black streaks on the inside. I assume one of their children used it improperly. Now I'm stuck with a dryer that literally looks like sh*t on the inside.

Is there any way to remove these streaks?

Thanks!

I had a similar mess inside my dryer when I accidentally ran some chewing gum through it - there is a fantastic liquid product called De-Solv-It (not sure if you can get this in the USA) that will remove just about any sticky, greasy residue like crayon, gum or glue but won't harm the finish of the dryer drum. I cleaned all the gum off with De-Solv-It and then sprayed the drum with a bit of household cleaner, wiped it clean, and good to go again.

GOOF-OFF

When I bought my Maytag set, the dryer had marks on the drum, and door. I used Goof Off, and it took everything off. I will warn you, the smell is not pretty. Make sure you wash the drum afterwards. You can get it at any hardware store.
