I have one
It's a POS... well, not a piece, but a whole one.
All Eggos I know (from people from the brazilian community at Orkut and other people that post complaints on a consumer rights website and also my unit) have two screws on the lid that start rusting on the first week of use. This machine should come with a free sample of oxalic acid LOL.
Mine has serious troubles with the control board. It's random. sometimes it works perfectly, other times it freezes during the wash and will remain washing for days, until I remove the plug from the outlet. Other times it happens during the drain.
I took it to the authorized service, they told me the machine is absolutely perfect.
The brazilian law is very clear. if the problem persists for more than 30 days, the consumer is free to choose between a refound or replacement by the same model or an upgrade if the model is discontinued.
Whirlpool (after 1 year with the same problem) just phoned me and the stupid attendant said: "I'm sorry sir, we don't care about what the law says, our internal politics says we never replace and we never give money back. I understand your position but I can't do anything because rules are rules.
Without the issues above, It's a good machine. It's rollover is fantastic like the Bendix Economat. It has an impeller instead of an agitator but it reverses so fast that the wash action looks like it has an agitator.
Also, the ozone generator really works and the result is amazing. It bleaches the whites without using chlorine. the colors become more brighter and it also deodorize.
Today I took it (by the 7th time) to the authorized service, just to give them a last chance before I sue them.
Have a look at the thread I created about other Brastemp model: The explosive front loader they launched recently.
