Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Here is a video of the dryer that squeals.

Most in this laundry room are $1.25 for 50 minutes. An addtional $0.25 gets you 10 minutes for a total of 1 hour for $1.50.

The odd-ball dryer is 34 minutes for $0.50. Another $0.50 gets you a total of 68 minutes. One more quarter buys you another 14 minutes.

Talk about discrpancies in pricing!

Te he he he.

One of the washers appears to have a water-inlet solenoid-valve issue. It continues to drip slowly when not filling. Is this a frequent occurance?

Thanks Peter, you were spot-on regarding a 60 second spray-rinse in the PP cycle. It is a 30 second duration in the other cycles. The PP cycle was also two minutes shorter than the others, but in the laundry room's heat and humidity I was dizzier than usual and really could not (at that moment) figure out "where it (the two minutes of time) went". Methinks the final spin is a minute less.

Ah, also regarding the dryers. The settings all appear to be the same thing=> *HOT* (make that "inferno" temperature).

Whites = 1 minute cool-down.
Permanent Press = 2 minute cool-down
Delicates = 3 minute cool-down.

It is interesting to note that the buttons are labeled "Fabric Settings" not "Temperature Settings". Can anyone confirm for me the above, meaning one temp.?

The PP cycle is shorter because I think the final spin is only 3 minutes instead of 5. Less wrinkles, you know.

If the dryers are as programmable as the washers, then the owner can program different temp limits for each button.

The squeal comes and goes.

BTW after many decades of subway exposure one goes deaf in the lower and higher registers, and you don't hear it.

GadgetGary was visiting when the Long Island Rail Road whizzed by (above ground, one block over, by my place). He was concerned. I didn't even feel (the building shaking) or hear it.

FEH!

.....and I ran my own washer. I don't think anyone noticed. *YAY*

Rack dried, and the items dried in about 12 hours. Within 24 hours, 100% dry.

Oddly, towels dried very quickly. The A/C vent hits the drying rack, so the circulating dry air helps!
