Cute " Micro Mini" Washer/Dryer Combo Amazon

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

It's funny how you're "not trying to be political" yet if one just uses the words that you throw at others back on you, suddenly, it's about economics and being lucid.

Stop to attack people's opinions with your so called facts.
Stop trying to put people down with no reasoning as to if they know something or not - I have an engineering degree, I have worked in the appliance industry, I wrote my bachelor's thesis on fridges. I know a thing or two about economics and ecological appliances.

Stop regurgitating the same topics and opinions and posts almost word for word if the feedback to them is mostly negative - ESPECIALLY if they are not part of a posts topic.

I'll check out of this thread now indefinitely - like I so often do on this website when things just turn into an echo chamber of such sorts.

New ultra compact combination, washer dryer

Message to Chet and Sean, and anyone else interested

This site is about appliances that includes all aspects of appliances can be discussed here, if this were a car club, you would be allowed to discuss emission systems, gas mileage, how to make cars better how to make them get better mileage, etc.

It is completely within This context that it is appropriate to discuss how much energy and appliance uses compared to others and ways to modify it or use it more economically.

You two are the ones that introduced politics into this. You added nothing to the discussion of this mini combination washer dryer if you want to discuss topics at hand that's great but stop chastising others who are trying to help everybody decide the best appliances and the best usage for their life and for the world.

My brother and I started this company over 50 years ago from the very beginning we have always looked for ways to help our customers use less energy and buy the most economical appliances We Try to keep machines running as long as possible where it's feasible and when they need replacing, we help advise the most economical replacements, all of this is done with the customers consent and approval. We don't force anything down anyone's throat but there's no escaping that energy usage is a big and important concern of appliance owners generally just like gas mileage is if you own cars.

It's really sad to see two young people who are contributing nothing to the site or to the enjoyment of appliances in general. It's just the same constant negative comments. I paid for Chets membership for one year trying to get him involved more. It did no good. I sent Sean a free timer for his washer that he moans about all the time he's still yet to do anything with it. I don't know what else I can do to help you guys contribute around here.

John

John, your basically saying negative comments make forum contributions, yet positive comments add nothing of substance to AW.org.

If you read Reply #4 I made nothing but positive comments about this mini washer stating its numerous advantages. I made no disparaging remarks. The rest of the forum however decides to trash this combo washer-dryer in numerous ways including its energy consumption- a topic which manages to get brought up in every other thread ad nauseam.

In fact a while back I specifically spoke about wanting to see a low cost spin-less combination washer-dryer come to the market only to receive personal attacks calling my intelligence into question in addition to plenty of comments about how such a concept would never be marketable, practical, possible or be tolerated by any user. You included John. People said I had no real world experience and I lacked  basic engineering knowledge.

Yet two years later here we are- we have a low cost combo thriving on Amazon and all over the globe. People are very happy with this machine. Nobody outside AW.org is complaining about the time, energy, washing, rinsing or the like. People are buying it, enjoying it, and reaping the benefits. People will gladly pay more for energy if that means not having to wash even two or three items by hand. And would be willing to to do the same with big loads if it meant not having to manually drag a machine around, manually fill a tub with the correct water temperature, set a timer, manually drain it, manually fill it again, set it, drain it, then put the clothes into a separate spinner or wringer, then transfer them to a separate dryer or hang them in their bathroom.

What this forum fails to grasp is there is a massive open market for specialty washers and dryers. A void that is being filled every day in a booming market.

I thank you John for paying my membership, and even inviting me to your museum. That was a really kind thing to do and I am grateful for that. However, I will not blindly abandon my lucidity, knowledge or experience in the process.

Years ago, when I owned apartment houses, I had an older lady living in a studio apt. She bought one of these similar models and after I looked at the model label and saw the amount of wattage needed for drying, I told her to wring clothes by hand and dry her clothes on a rack and NOT to try to run a full dry cycle, as I paid the electric bill.

Do you mean kilowatt hours? Wattage is the amount of power consumed for 1 second and not the total amount of energy used per cycle.

I get your point though, these machines have to boil away at least several cups to several quarts of water.

Also to clarify I never ended up visiting John's museum at no fault of his. Blame rests with myself. I still however thank him for the invite.

Just stumbled upon this video from the CES show this month. Apparently Hisense is releasing their version of a mini combo. Seems like a more substansial unit. There is a wall mounted version of this as well.

My friend Karen/Miss Jetcone got one of the counter-top combos on Amazon (which are currently out of stock). Really cute machine, I suspect the spin speed is about 650-700rpm from my observations. I washed 12 16"x16" cleaning rags on the boil cycle and the machine did rather well.

A little off topic

Disregard the posts and replies of mine in this particular thread. Was sick last week and as a side effect, caused the vertigo to act up which can cause me to get dazed and confused.

I have one of those, purchased at Walmart.com

It's ok.. tiny.... it can wash 3 shirts, dry 2 (it takes forever).

Cute: definitely
Useful: kinda. Sometimes I have one shirt or two kitchen towels to boil wash.
Performance: very good
Drying performance: terrible

Would buy again? Definitely yes, a different design, only because it's cute.

Regarding the usability and being REALLY useful, it would be awesome if it held like 2.5 or 3kg.

Wish it was available

I've been looking for one of these small units (the 9L one not the tinny 3L) but its not sold on amazon anymore.
Living in a NYC apartment with No washer and dryer and restrictions into installing one, this small front loader would be a life saver! Looked on ebay, facebook marketplace etc for a used one but nothing :(
