I received a new oil bellows today. It came from British Columbia and was made in England.

....
Kenny came over and helped me get the tub and agitate shaft out.

The bronze bushing at the top of the spin shaft is cracked. probably from my misguided efforts to remove the bellows retainer with an impact wrench.

Anyone have a spare bushing/spin shaft????

All spread out

Here are the pcs of the 1-18, all spread out.

The hardest things are:
remembering to use a wrench to hold the bellows retainer still while torquing on the bellows nut.
Having a wrench to remove the tub nut.

The rest just lifts out and isn't really very heavy.

The transmission is so much easier to service upside down like this.

Requests, looking for ...

So the machine is apart, and looks pretty good. Excepting the fractured bronze bushing I believe I've got pieces to get it going.

Anyone have a spin shaft upper bushing? Used or new?

Also, as I'm hoping to use this one every day for years, if anyone has a lead on a spare Oil Bellows Part# 5433572 please let me know. I'll be happy to take a electrolux one, or a made in England one, or a plain jane OEM Ohio one.

The stereo dates from the Vacuum Tube days, mid 60s I suppose. I use it with my heathkit speakers for that old tube sound in the workshop. I've replaced the filter caps in the pw supply, but the rest is as-is.

Here's a pic of that oil bellows from England. Perhaps England might be another source then, and the fellow from Chester might look?
