Just wondering if only the top arm sprays or do both arms still spray and the cycle is just a short cycle. I know the arms alternate on a normal cycle but does just the top arm spry?
The instructions don't really say what it does.Could you still put plates and silverware in the bottom and hope the water coming down cleans them?

I've never used a Frgidaire. But on my KitchenAid produce Kenmore Elite, it still uses the bottom spray arm some, largely to flush out the whole water distribution system and filter. Even when I do bottom rack only, it still sprays quite a bit on upper rack. With this knowledge, I began putting lightly soiled plates, salad plates, and mini plates in the bottom rack even when I do top rack only. And same with flatware. You will just need to experiment.

We had this Frigidaire Gallery DW and when I tried the top rack only you could hear it alternate between the lower and upper wash arms. We only kept it for about 5 years because the upper rack kept falling off the supports. I did not like the plastic tub. We replaced it with a Bosch 300 series and never looked back.

I had exactly the same machine as Mike's in Reply #2. I very rarely used the Top Rack Only option. It would still alternate, but would spend very little time on the lower rack.
