Well, I doubt I will be buying them again- I am almost finished with the bag, and I haven't found them to clean as well as Tide Pods, and for the same price no less! I have found the scent in itself to be almost non existant, but they are leaving a strange soapy smell in the washer and dryer. The clothes have the same smell if you rub on the fabric and then smell it. Not overly impressed.
I got the large package at Target for $11.49. Ii washed my bed clothes. Bedspread, blanket, fitted and flat sheets and the pillow cases. There were some blood stains on them from my foot and from.poking my fingers to test my glucose levels.. I used two pods and the suds were moderate but nor overkill.I was not only happy with the results but prefer the pods over the liquid and the powders. Because we have five dogs, four of whom stay indoors most of the time, the fresh Gain (original scent) really helps to keep their body odor to a minimum. They get bathed twice a month but ,from eating rats, birds, pigs and rolling in their remains, they get a bit smelly.
I've tried gain flings against tide pods. I do not see a difference in cleaning power of either one. However, I find that gain flings work best for those smelly sweaty workout wear - especially gym clothes.

I have a big tub of the purple moonlight breeze ones. In one of my strong smells phases, I used one in a load along with Lenor (Downy) Unstoppables beads (blue ones called fresh scent) AND Costco's Kirkland Lavender Scent Gems fabric softener.
Biggest mistake of my life, I had a top on at work washed in that load, I nearly went into restroom to take it off and just wear my coat, it made me so ill just smelling it.
I'm in the UK and our detergents and softeners are more heavily scented than US ones, so already accustomed to stronger scents, but this particular combo even bowled me over.
Had to rewash the lot. I will use them again, but strictly on their own.
