GE Spot Scrubber W/Mini basket

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I broke these 2 white plastic hinges on both sides of the top panel.
I used a couple of heavy zip ties to keep the top on, otherwise only the wiring harness and water level switch hose was holding the top on the washer.

Its mini basket does not have perforations on the bottom, only around the top for spinning the water out.  See the pic in reply #6 above.  FilterFlo recirculation runs for a few mins to fill the mini basket, then the recirculation hose is pinched-off by a solenoid mechanism to stop the flow and agitation continues with a concentrated detergent solution for stain treatment (spot scrubbing).  The pinched hose is released for continuous circulation (and mini basket overflow for filtering) during rinse.

Congratulations on getting this machine going.

I hope you eventually manage to get the pinch relay thingy repaired. Kind of odd they would use that set up instead of using a solenoid actuated valve.

Good luck on the rest of your restoration!

Timer Out On Mine

I have the same GE Spot Scrubber looks Identical to your pictures. This weekend the timer quit working. I have to manually switch it from wash to spin to off. Otherwise it will continue washing or spinning until the power goes out.

Any help you all can give I would greatly appreciate it. I don't know where to get the parts or how to fix it, but I learn pretty quickly and easily.

Thank you.

That machine would be exactly what you need Alex.....actually all you would have to do is flip the control panel over to this one, and eventually add in the filter valve again.....and you could be up and running in no time....the panel flip can be done in a matter of minutes....

most all parts are inter changeable......

Yes, That would be a nice match to your Spotscrubber.

And Jon/Retro-man - I'd def be interested in that dryer. Is it white or Almond? I have good friends up in Nashua, NH that I could visit and come pick this up. Let me know more details...
