No - its actually not hard at all
The best thing to do, if you are new to this, is to get one of those service manuals that they sell on ebay for the older ge washers. They tell you how to do everything and with pictures, step by step. GE's are easy to repair which is another reason I like them so much. Is the Boot just loose or is it damaged? They are also available for pretty cheap and easy to change out.
