..after I took it out, I blew out the valve bodies just in case there was anything in there. When I looked down I noticed this round black washer thing on the floor. Not sure where it came from. Hopefully it's not necessary.

That round one is the restrictor....leave that out....but put the flat piece back in place before you re-assemble.....it will leak without it......

while the top is open......you may want to either flip the fill flume back on itself like this, or some cut it....this allows the water to spray on the load during spin/spray rather than behind the tub.....

and put a cable tie around the lid switch so it will operate with the lid open......

I never knew just how the Spotscrubber worked. My GE was a basic 1 cycle, speed but did have a Filter Flo, no water level, temp adjustments. Although I did put a jumper wire on the inlets so temp was controlled at the faucets, otherwise it was Hot/Warm. I just wedged a cap off a Bic razor under the rubber top gasket to keep it running with the lid open. My Maytag had to have a cable tie to let it run with the lid open. I did give the 1970 something GE to a tenant when I sold the property and it is still running perfect with absolutely no problems.

OK, I had to pull the inlet valve apart again since I didn't put that square plug back in. But while I had it out I snipped it back a bit so it wouldn't block the water flow in anyway yet still make that water tight seal against the valve body.

When the washer was delivered I noticed the guy had strapped it to a pallet by pulling a cable directly over the center of the back splash top panel, and ratcheting it down, putting a nice crease in it. It needs to be replaced.

...also the plasti-chrome on the timer knob has seen better days as well. Again, If I can find one, I'd like to just replace it.

make a list of everything you may need....and we'll try to gather it all at one time.....

one thing I do not have, but you may need is a pump at some point.....check under the hoses of the pump, at the center shaft area, and you will see an opening/hole....if its clean, your OK....if theres a streak of black comming out, you eventually will need a pump...something to keep in mind......

Almond GE Spot Scrubber in Chicago

I have an extra Spot Scrubber GE here in Chicago that needs a home. It's in excellent working condition. Let me know if interested.

Well just off the top the minor parts I need would be the control panel top trim, a new timer knob, a new selector knob, A cap to the agitator and the rubber nubs on the underside of the washer lid and top.

A special thanks to Yogitunes for sending me this care package to get me going. Upper and lower boot clamps, Standard filter-flo hose to replace my leaking spot scrubber hose. All needed to proceed with machine testing.

A look at what makes a Fliter-Flo a SpotScrubber Filter-Flo. My pinch hose it split so it would not Filter-Flo without spraying everything inside the cabinet too. With the standard hose in place, I'm back in business.

This little hose in here is where the action takes place. Pricey to replace at an average cost new of $138. for a small 3" hose.
