After a great deal of work, I finally got the GE Wall Refrigerator up on the wall and running. Had to remount the header on which it hangs, replace the cold control, rehinge one of the doors and do a complete wash down and clean out. It runs like a champ. Of all my appliances this is one of my favorites. Its also the one that has cost me the most money to aquire and keep running. This was the unit that I got from John L in a trade. It actually has parts from 3 different wall refrigerators that I have had thru the years. This has the best of the shelves, gaskets, grill, etc. Its due for a repaint, but I just dont have the energy for that yet! Sometime soon I hope........

Very nice Jimmy! I only ever saw one of these in use in a home years ago, just thought it was the most interesting thing ever.

very nice

I love that refrigerator!! How unique! I also couldn't help but notice that GE top-loading built-in dishwasher! I wish I had a DW like that model! Thanks for sharing some cool pics!

A house up the street from me

Had one of those refrigerators. Was always intrigued that the 'fridge' could 'hang on the wall'. Of course, the whole kitchen was GE....the dishwasher, washer, dryer and stove..

Wonderful Unit

Jimmy, what a great unit that is. I remember that same unit in the same color my sister and brother in law had when they moved into her new home. The unit ran well and used it for a few years. They disposed of it when they remodeled the kitchen under my protest. I told them to keep the unit as a spare and put it downstairs for extra use. But they used the excuse of being an energy waster. Wrong! But you can't argue the point as you would be wasting your breath. But now years later when I bring up the subject, they new they made a mistake in tossing it out and wish they had kept it, as it was a unique piece and it worked fine. Oh well, but enjoy your piece as it is truly one of a kind!
