LOL
Sorry, I couldn't get a more accurate headline together.
And I don't want to get into politics.
But, first, no manufacturer will ever sell any product that has ever existed below its production price. That is just straight up economical BS.
Second, no, we are not to blame. If a market chooses a way to go, logicly a majority wants to go that way, because any somewhat free market space will always produce more profits for those who suite the market.
And, for your matter, EVERYBODY is to blame cause ANYBODY alive today who just has been in a first world country bought at least 1 product containing a component made somewhere in Asia.
And, third and last, I wouldn't give a true 100% honor to any producer of white goods.
Here in Europe, we are now down to 7 "major" brands: Miele, BSH, E-Lux, Whirlpool, Candy\Hoover, Gorenje and Acrelik (not sure about the spelling, the ones that make Beko, Blomberg and Co.).
And Whirlpool recently bought up Hotpoint\Indesit. Though they do have some kind producr hybrid design going (they launched some crossed WD combos with mixed parts), a whole share of diversity got whiped of the market.
Oh, and if I do remember right, our WP washer is mostly made in China, as well.
