The repairman shows that silly Mildred absent mindedly put her box of washing powders inside her washing machine when she was putting away her groceries. Mildred is so tickled at her silly self that she immediately gets on the telephone and calls everybody, telling them about what happened........

Another dryer option that never took off. Provided the thing actually was available and worked, after it singed the hair off a few ladies, looking like they went to the Lilly Munster beauty salon, the accessory was quietly withdrawn from the market.

Even the cheesiest of them show a kind of sunny optimism you havent seen in advertising in at least 30 years - and the illustrations on some of them are masterworks. It's a shame there's not an outlet like that for freehand artists these days.
