I need some honest opinions....

Ok iv'e narrowed my washer to 3 choices....I get a used 15 year old Kenmore washer, a 2005 Maytag Performa/Ensignia or a new Huebsch/speed queen washer. Which one do you guys think is best? im worried about the turnover and cleaning power of the Maytag ensignia if i get that, im also worried if the neutral drain on the Kenmore will work anymore. The only reason i don't want a huebsch is because after a few years the transmission's start making a knocking while agitating and i just don't know if thats really what i want right now...i can never make the right decision.....

While I hate neutral drains, if it has stopped working, it is a simple matter of replacing a couple of tranny parts to get it working again. Your biggest decision is whether or not you will be happy with a low water use FL or if you still wish to have a top loader. I would suggest one of each. If you wash blankets, the ability to fill a top loader to the brim and allow a blanket to soak clean with only a few seconds of agitation is not going to be duplicated in a Speed Queen, which is a very good washer, but more like a commercial machine in its cycle selections.

Let me put it to you this way...

You won't regret purchasing a Huebsch machine. If budget is your big concern, consider buying a top loading Huebsch. Saving the extra cash to buy one will be worth every penny IMHO.
