During breakfast my dad passed out and hit his head to the drink glass and the side of the table, blood was everywhere..... He stopped moving and I thought the worse..... A few seconds later he took a breath and moved..... Then he passed out again..... Called 911 and they took him to the hospital and they found out his blood pressure was very low..... Corrected the problem and they are keeping him over night..... What a day! First thing that came to my mind was..... He's dead..... And what am I going to do.....

OMG you saved his life by thinking quickly!
What a day!

PS we have no idea of your age so can't tell how traumatic this is for ya. There is a difference in response to things like this if you are 18 or 48!

Hope all ends well. Sounds like it went ok so far.
Our prayers are with your dad.

Geez. Bet your blood pressure wasn't low!

Glad things worked out well. Ish. Those head injuries can be horrendous. Mom fell out of bed one night and hit her head on the corner of the bureau. It was just a small cut on her scalp, but there was blood everywhere.

How old is dad?

Chris, glad things worked out well. Similiar happened to my mom a couple of months ago, scared her to death and thought my dad had died too. I remember getting the phone call from mom. Bob

I`ve been through that too, And wish you and your dad the very best. I hope he gets better soon!

Sorry to hear it, Chris. But you acted fast and did the right thing; might have saved your dad's life.

One thing about head injuries, as everyone here said, they bleed a lot. But it's reassuring to know that this happens even with minor cuts on the scalp because a) lots of clean blood helps keep the area of the cut clean, and b) that good red blood is also nature's way of getting instant attention for any cut on the head, so someone takes a look right away to find out if it's something serious or just a small cut. No doubt these factors have saved many lives.
