Yeah, well, as long as Mr. Rodriguez drops dollar bills into that basket every Sunday, he's still contributing to the problem. The RCC is a business first and a religion second, and it's been that way since the 4th Century. A portion of what he contributes is spent to fund civil gay bashing like Prop 8, and to pay defense attorney fees for child molesters.

I'm not saying the RCC doesn't do a lot of charity work, but if he were smarter he'd advocate donations be made directly to individual charities and not his church.

Which is why my family does not contribute to the regular collection, yet I'll contribute to whatever the second collection is.

Then again he goes to Holy Redeemer. Its well known for being a parish that makes progressive parishes look tame.
