Looking for a bedspread, not a comforter

Drat, I was afraid of that. I do have a long memory, although sometimes it's selective about which details it retains. :)

you know whats funny is this past weekend we had friends over and the husbears were in one area and us wives were in another area talking about how they "hold out" on things from their mate till they get what they want, my opinion was, and I told them, they were idiots and acting childish, like little gold diggers......the topic went on to who maybe cheating, and with this kind of thinking, my opinion again is if they weren't getting it at home, who's taking care of them?...and final topic when all got together from both the straights and gays was US, they wanted what we have, like were perfect or something, I don't think I'm a trendsetter, just unconditional love and a closeness to take care of each other, odd how the straight guys would consider going gay rather than put up with what they got....some people!

I been married for 20 years, we argue here and there, who doesn't?...but usually we do it NAKED....helps ease the tension, never go to bed angry...

but I like your humor....we sometimes have to laugh at our oddities and ourselves for the silly things we do.....actually he knows when I'm ticked, I start cleaning the house top to bottom, scrubbing every inch, and when
I start pulling out the fridge to clean behind it, he knows he's in trouble....lol...I clean like wildfire when I'm ticked off!!!...house, garage, cars, gutters, and this allows me actually to work off steam and cool down first...lol

Mom used to iron sheets on her mangle. It was a differnt brand than an Ironright, and I'm sure mangle is what happens if you catch your fingers in it. I loved watching her use it, but she claims it was more work than a flat iron. Anyway, the sheets came out so nice. Sleeping on the clean, newly-pressed sheets is one of my favorite childhood memories. The problem I shared with Michael Landon after I fell asleep, not so much.

Mangle

My friend (an X lover from the 80's)David Leveoff, hadhis hand go through an IronRite Mangle iron and it looked like it was in a deep fryer and cooked till done.

I used to iron my sheets.......

but not anymore.

Instead I always line dry them BUT, I hang the flat sheet
up longways and in half (that way I get the line down the
middle) and I take the garden hose and drench them with water.
The weight of all that water immediately takes out all the
wrinkles and puts a nice line down the middle.
It dosent work very well on pillowcases though.
I still iron them using spray starch.

Last winter on Black Friday WalMart had an excellent sale on
800 count sheet sets. I bought 2 of them for only $20.00 each.
Of course, you had to be one of the first ones in the store to get them because they only had so many and about a gazillion people headed straight for them. I'm hoping they have the sale again this year.

I've also run across straight men who envy what they see in committed, balanced gay relationships. I've told a couple of them that it's like any other kind of relationship - there are good ones, and there are ones that are awful.

Anyone who uses closeness and the physical side of a relationship as leverage to get something doesn't deserve to have a good relationship. It's possible to be so angry that romance isn't appealing at some point or other, but using sex and affection as weapons is the sign of a very immature person.

pillow cases

Give me a vintage GE steam iron and a can of starch that makes my pillow cases so much nicer to rest my head on
plus my partner likes it too whens hes here since we live apart

Truth to tell..

Ironing actually will prolong the lifespan of linens, providing the thing is done properly.

It has to do with smoothing down the fibers after laundering and what not. Indeed not ironing certian linens can cause small hole to form. The book "Home Comforts" speaks about it, one can look there.

Don't really mind ironing, then again have enough equipment both manual and machine to do the job. An ironer or mangle is probably the best way to go if one wants to get the job over quickly.
