Is this a 90s Maytag DC variant?

It's not too far from me and and the washer itself appears to be already outside and not in the basement (which I consider to be a good thing so that I don't have to haul it out of the basement).

But... the seller might be a bit on the hillbilly side because when I asked for the model number, he replied with, "it's a maytag."

That is not a Peforma Maytag. Performas had the thick top on them. They were Norges built at the Searcy Arkansas plant.

Todd didn't say it was a Performa. He said it was a DC with the Performa name on it. That's how these machines were sold for a while.

Once Runematic mentioned Performa, I used the custom Google Search option on this website and came across a previous discussion:

Looks very similar to a LAT2500AAE? If that's the case, it looks like a decent washer with:

Maytag performa washer

Need some advice about this washer. I forgot to get model #(post later). This washer is from 2003 and been great. I was washing jeans and the spin was not a normal sound. Pulled jeans out and turned to spin nothing. Went and played with her the next morning, tilted the washer checked belts...

It's a true Maytag if it has the porcelain tub.  I had a secretary who bought one of these as it was one of the last of the true Maytags.  If it's a plast4ic tub, it's a NorgeTag.

Those were sold in Holland? That might explain the odd configuration.
I've never seen one. I've seen Neptunes, Atlantis, then Maytag closed up shop.
A few of the family are in the blue cheese business up in Newton Iowa.

This is most definitely a Dependable Care washer with the Performa name on it, like I said before.  I sold many of these washers new & used.    They had this washer out at the same time as the Norgetag Performa and the control panels had the same stripes on them.  I know the difference between the two platforms, believe me.    Oh, and the Norgetag Performas weren't built in Searcy.

My oldest sister replaced here bol "12" model with a Performa.   Thinking she got another Maytag.  She got the Norgetag version--didn't check with me until she started having problems with it.

Per the parts diagram, SAV505DAWW or SAV505DAWQ is an Amanatag of some ilk ... or a Norgetag, I'm not clear on the difference between those two designs.  Anyway, it shows a single belt (transmission drive) with idler pulley and direct-drive pump.
