Just getting back from the wash-in at Rich & Chuck's....What can I say? DIVINE...AWESOME...SPECTACULAR...MAHVELOUS...LOADS OF LAUGHTER....and guess what?
We did not even get to 'fire up' one Maytag~!

Rich & Chucks Wash-in

Hey Guys! Billy & I had a great time at Rich and Chucks home this weekend! I didn't want to come home! Just like the vacuum cleaner convention, I have met some fantastic guys and I feel like I have known all of you forever! Rich and Chuck are great hosts and excellent cooks and we thank them for their gracious hospitality! These guys worked so hard and their tireless attention to every detail is much appreciated. Their typewriter collection is awesome-I've never seen anything like it! And Rich has some really nice small appliances, as well, which include his percolator collection, mixers, toasters, and you name it! Gary, thanks to you we have so many great pictures to capture the moments! Man, I miss you guys already! When are we getting together again?

THanks VERY much to Rich and Chuck for their hospitality and VERY good cooking, wow, I had a blast. Great meeting some new faces and very nice to once again see some very nice people from the last "wash-in" where no laundry gets done. Another FABULOUS event!!

Another wash-in over and still talking about the wonderful time we had. It was great to see everyone again. Eric and I had a blast!!

And last butn ot leawst, those dishes get the Bob Load designation. Looks like no pre-rinsing was done. Or it could be the pattern on the dishes.

I had to have ANOTHER greenie to get by that no pre-rinsing. Cringing every time something was added to one of many 'Bob-loads' in Massachusetts this weekend.

Bob, was pre-rinsing required in the KA way back when?????

The KA was probably one of the best as far as performing for a 1950s DW. The no pre-rinsing concept was valied with the premise the housewife had to run the machine after ever major meal. I think it worked to a degreee, but starchy stuff and eggs wouldn't come off, I tried in our 59 Waste King. Detergents are much better formulated today.
