the next time you steam clean your carpets; instead of using the reccomended cleaning solution try using 1 cup of rubbing alcohol with the hottest water possible in your tank. if you like to keep your water heater on a lower setting to conserve; just crank it up on high the night before so it will be readily available while cleaning. i'm just speachless with the results i achieved on my white wall to wall carpet in my home. threw away a new bottle of bissell solution and didnt even blink an eye!(p.s. my water heater was set at its highest temp setting. steven

I might have to give that a try.

But of course I would need a new steam cleaner! I am dying to get a Hoover Platinum! (I think andrew bought one, and thats what sold me on it!)
My 15 year old steam vac broke.

I always used the Hoover platinum carpet solution as soon as it came out. I hate the bissell one, dosen't seem to clean as well as the hoover solution.

Of course my parents friend owns a carpet cleaning van and does his own buisness with it. Now thats some cleaning!
