Fading Jeans...
I had a pair of black jeans which after several washes using 'colour' detergent, still faded.
I re-dyed them black again, using "Dylon" powdered dye in the washing machine. Umpteen washes later, the fading was noticable again; so they got another blast with the dye.
Dylon is available in the UK in various colours, including blue; and they give instructions concerning the shades of blue. Perhaps your supermarket/shops will have something similar.
The important bit to remember is that it requires a hot wash to dye-in the dye; followed by cool wash to rinse away excess dye from the article(s); followed by an empty hot machine 'maintenance wash' with detergent, to clean the machine itself (no clothes within).
