All I know is that Midea is a huge Chinese company that makes many appliances under different names, including appliances made for and branded as US based companies.
Whenever I hear of a brand I never heard of before I automatically suspect it's made by Midea. Here is a Midea washer that, as far as I can tell from the pictures and specs, looks to have a similar cabinet to the KoolMore in the opening post, though somewhat different features. https://www.midea.com/us/laundry/fr...t-capacity-front-load-washer-white-mlh52s7aww
I've been searching for a reliable and durable microwave and came across this article that claims the majority of microwaves sold in the US, regardless of the brand, are made by Midea https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-microwave/
I wonder how this company compares to Haier. Striving to be quality or simply making cheap knock offs? I know China can literally build and imitate anything at any quality, legally.
...from mid-00s to about 2014 are often Midea-quality about the same as Korean imports-I have a GE 24"pair from about 2012: washer is Midea, made in china,dryer-condenser type- is made in Korea-don't know who made it.Washer is pretty nice little machine-BLDC direct drive.I got the set in 2015 for $50 because the washer leaked-a couple badly installed hoses were rubbing and wore through.
