Hello everyone, I haven't posted anything recently, and would like to know if anyone has a 58-60 Hotpoint range they want to sell or trade? I am looking for color lighted pushbutton models. I do have a 57 30" frigidaire range if anybody wants one,as well as a pink 1960 Hotpoint cooktop too!! Hope all is well, and enjoying summer for everyone. Very best regards,Walt

I dont ...BUT!

I will try to go to our local furnitue store and take a pic of the range he has on his showroom floor, a 1955 Hotpoint double oven lighted pushbutton 39 inch range, with both griddle and deep fryer unit, but the range is ALL STAINLESS STEEL!

Hotpoint reply

Hi, Thanks for the speedy reply. I do have a 56(2 actually),They are wonderful! I tried to get a 60 HOTPOINT about a year ago, could not arrange in time,it got trashed(Iwas not happy about that!!). My favorite late model hotpoint is a rb747. Take care and thanks,Walt

60 Hotpoint

Walt, I have been looking for a 61 Hotpoint cooktop for a long time, the type with the elevated pushbutton panel centered in the back, is that the type you have? Do you have a picture? I might be very interested if it is the right one.

Thanks!

Hans, I would love to see that Hotpoint... I need to add more color/stainless to my collection of primarily white stoves! Jeff

We have a 58/9 GE Pink wall oven in near mint condition that could go with that pink Hotpoint cooktop if anyone wants one - also have a mint Turquoise 60/61-ish cooktop, just the turquoise colored porcelain metal panel, no guts, for anyone who wants to switch colors on their cooktop, in NY about 2 hr from Tri-State NY/NJ/CT area.

Turquoise colored porcelain

Hmm, that would match my Wave Touch set! Our original Kitchen growing up was the pink, but most of the neighbors had the Turquoise. Original poster has not responded, so may be too late.. :-( but thanks for the offer.

Hi Greg,

There are a lot of those Hotpoint drop ins around here, our local furniture store sold tons of them, I dont know about that unit arrangement, but I do know the staggered units on a Frigidaire cooktop are great....Seems like everyone of those Hotpoint built ins is coppertone???

Hotpoint!

There is a 5 to 1 ratio of Hotpoint stuff here, our furniture store , Daniels, has been a Hotpoint dealer since 49, and though Mocksville had Norge GE and Westinghouse dealers, you rarely see one, just about all Hotpoint.

Wow, that is so close

The cooktop I have been looking for has that pushbutton contol center like the one in the picture, but it is centered, and has the normal two large burners in the front, and two small ones in the back. If memory serves, one of the small burners had the old style center element and outer element, so if you were using something like a Corning tea kettle, you could use medium high and it only lit the center portion. The other three burners had the newer style double wound Calrods.

Thanks so much for that picture!! I wish that was closer, I would take it just to have one so close to what I grew up with and learned how to cook on.

60 pink HOTPOINT cooktop

YES! My 60 Hotpoint has the raised pushbutton panel with removable brushed chrome trim panel. Cook top is pink porcelain. 2-6" and2-8" units,no supermatic. I will not be scrapping this,so don't worry,it will just take some time to try posting a picture. YES,it is for sale or trade to a good home. the off buttons are color coded to unit center color. Yellow button was missing so I replaced with a white one. If anyone would like to call,my #(585)735-5889. Very best wishes to all of you, hope you are enjoying the summer!! Walt

We had 1957 Hotpoint built-in stovetop (knobs only) and dual in-wall ovens which had the color lighted buttons. Green was bake, yellow was timed, red was broil. There's a recent photo of one somewhere nearby on this site. The golden age of American appliances.

Hi Philcoford, there is a Hotpoint cooktop with the raised center panel on craigslist in Grand Rapids, MI... just thought you would be interested to see it, too... not sure how to link it on here... Look under "Vintage Hotpoint".
