We have them here as well, though I never saw them in any laundromat. Our local laundromat does have Huebsch stacked dryers but Miele washers.

Dryer

Galvanized drum?!? My aunt's BOL HOH had a galvanized drum. I guess if it is a thick enough coating like commercial dryers have, or like the coating on the perforated Hamilton drums that seems to last almost forever, it would be OK and allow them to use a heavier gauge of steel than some modern brands use in their stainless steel drums.

I hope the electronic control topload washer and matching dryer will be avalable for sale in canadien stores as i like the idea of an eco dry system on the dryer would save lots of energy in drying time

Eco Dry lengthens the cycle as it lowers the drying temp to save energy.

If you are using the dryer in a heated or cooled space, you have to remember that every minute it is operating, it is pumping 150 or more cubic feet of inside air to the outside. This is air that you have paid to heat or cool and replacement air is being sucked into the space from outside. Lengthening the drying is economical at times of the year when the inside air is not being heated or cooled or if the dryer is in an unheated or uncooled space like a garage, basement or outside utility room. It is economical to not use more heat than is needed for the task, but many factors other than the amount of heat used by the dryer need to be factored into the savings picture.

Per the instruction manual, the first heating period reaches the normal target temp, then it's reduced by 10% for the remainder of the cycle ... so for example, if the normal High temp is 150°F, it heats to 150°F then reduces to 135°F.
