Well, the time has come. Due to circumstances beyond mine and Helen's control, we're packing and moving to Crossville, TN. We're in the process of buying a house with a garage that I already have plans for (MULTIPLE washer hookups to name a few).

The truck will be here tomorrow morning and we will spend our first night there Thursday.

Washers, record players, and coasters, oh my!

Crossville aka God's Country

Yes. 10 hrs away from NYC. 12 away from Knoebels, 2 away from Dollywood, 1 hr away from Lake Winnie (a nice little classic amusement park in GA).

Life is good. Well, without going into details, anything will be better than living in someone's back yard, especially when you're made to feel unwelcome there.

Best of luck on your move Jason. I did not know you were leaving so soon. The last we talked, you were looking at several months. Oh well, you will have 101 lbs of vintage vinyl recordings waiting for you at Aunt Dorothy's! lol!! Don't strain your back moving those! <:

You and Helen won't be that far from me. When you make a trip up North, you will have to stop by for some Seeburg jamming, and some vintage belt drive Kenmore/Whirlpool action!

Sorry to hear about problems at home Jason. Sometimes it is never too soon to leave. I would not have liked living in my parents back yard either. This way you and Helen are truely on your own.

Drivin' this truck, driving a big ol' truck

That's right. I'll be at the helm of a U-Haul 17' with my Bug on the trailer. Garmin on the dashboard. Helen's Prius at the rear. Freedom here I come.

RickR, I'll be seeing those records in a few days and I will be jammin to them soon. You'll get your $$$ as soon as I get there no problem.

Yeah, maybe me and Helen can come to the 'hood and listen to that 200 select Seeburg (YAY).

It's all good in the hood!

Jason come join me.... Cause everythings just better in da hood! lol!!

Jasonl, I had a feeling something was up, was just thinking of you yesterday. Sorry for the trouble you were so excited about your new house, as it was being built. Be safe and I hope you both will be happy in your new home. I still have the convention DVD you made for me, i haul it out when i need some therapy. All the best. Arthur

Crossville is slow... but it's nice.

I went to University in Cookeville (20 miles West on I-40). Crossville has some beautiful scenery. The weather is nice as you'll get 4 very distinct seasons (get ready for snow). You'll be living on the Cumberland Plateau which will make you very close to cities like Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Cincinnati and more.

Lot's of Michigan folks have retired to that area. Great quality of life to be had. hope you enjoy it! Check out the Cumberland County play House for professional theater.

I plan to return to that area someday (retirement).
