Washers being discarded due to needing one part replaced, and customers obviously feeling it wasn't worth the bother.
Miele parts tend to run dear, and price quoted seems in line, but if you have a warranty why is Miele charging you for replacement parts?
For a machine only about ten years old, a mother board failure on a machine of Miele's reputed quality is a bit much, IMHO.
Only you can decide if the repair is "worth it", but if the machine is working fine otherwise, spending about 300 euros (parts & labour)probably isn't a bad deal. You certainly won't get another Miele for that price.
While the Miele servicemen are already there, have them check out the rest of the machine. It is always better to have Miele get things done on one trip, rather then call them out again for a whole new service call.
On this side of the pond Miele warrants parts and repairs for 90 days after the work is done. Make sure you put the machine through it's paces during this period and no matter how small you think any potential problem may be, get Miele back out if there is cause. Here, once that 90 day window is over, MieleUSA will *NOT* give an inch, but charge for a whole new service call and or parts.
Bon chance!
