MIELE W820 LEAKS NEAR DRAIN PUMP

HI ALL MIELE WASHER OWNERS.
I BOUGHT A SECONDHAND MIELE W820 WASHING MACHINE.
EXCELLENT CONDITION BUT ON TEST WASH WATER LEAKS FROM LEFT BOTTOM NEAR PUMP.
I OPENED AND CLEANED THE PUMP HOUSING AS PER ROUTINE MAINTENANCE GUIDE AND THE DRAIN PUMP STILL FUNCTIONS THOUGH.
ANY IDEAS OR HELP WILL KINDLY BE APPRECIATED AS I WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE MACHINE CHECKED BY A MIELE AGENT?
IVE ALWAYS LIKE MIELE WASHERS BUT NEVER OWNED ONE UNTIL NOW....

pump type

does the washer have a pump with exposed"shaded pole"motor that has a little fan
on the motor opposite the pump end,or is the pump the newer wet rotor"magnetic"
type that has no exposed moving parts?The earlier "shaded pole"type pump has a
shaft seal that could be worn and leaking.The "magnetic"type does not use a seal,
but it could be leaking from a damaged or out of place gasket or a crack.

w820 drain pump problem

thanks for your input cfz2882 .I need to know how to open up the w820 model because as we know miele washing machines can be opened from the front to service.Can you point me into the right direction?

I will then be able to tell you what type of drain motor my w820 has got.thanks again.

pull out the detergent drawer, then remove the screws on the frame.... to cut a long story short : look at this YT vid (but also some of the related vids)

ON OPENING BOTH MACHINES THE DRAIN MOTOR IS THAT FAN ON THE SIDE TYPE.

HEARD FROM AN EXPERT IT IS A CRAPPY DESIGN.FIGURE THAT MY INDEPENDENT MIELE GUY WILL FIT UNIVERSAL PUMPS FOR BOTH w820 and w925/w9245 .HE IS MAKING GOOD PROGRESS AND BOTH MY MAHCINES WILL BE RUNNING SOON.

I ALSO PICKED UP AN AEG W86820 LAVAMAT.ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ON DURABILITY OF THESE.IT NEEDS A REAL AEG MOTOR THAT WILL SPIN UP TO 1600 RPMS?
