for years I have wanted to set these rooms up.....and finally set my mind to getting it done...with much influence of AW....heres a few pics of my house in the city......

first the back basement room.....another set of my Fleet of Neptunes....mainly the daily drivers......

Brian....keep an eye on the white pipe-aka-vent lines for the dryers...one for each dryer...the water supply is "T"eed off......just a matter of working with what you have available.....the outlets have their own circuit breaker...

Now for the FrontRoom......aka, Playroom......most of my vintage machines....everything except 2 dryers are hooked up.....looks cluttered in the pics....just still working on finding a place for everything.....

this is the LEFT side....

yogitunes++1-25-2012-19-28-9.jpg

And the RIGHT side...........the Hot/Cold lines run parallel, and taps added as needed......the drain is only 1 1/2", but can handle all machines draining at the same time, with the laundry tub as an overflo if needed, as a safety backup....not that I really would run all machies at one time...good to know I could....2 circuit breakers control all the outlets.....

A close up of the water and drain lines for each station......

still enough space to add about 4 more machines in this room...and 2 more in the back....not shown is the 1-18....

Hey Martin!

Excellent looking room! Thanks for sharing. Love those GEs.

I noticed the "Two-tone" DA agi!

funny you mention small appliances.......I have a few Mixmasters....which doesn't even touch the tip of the iceburg....lol......I may need an intervention soon!

We can set a playdate anytime....now that most everything is set to go....bring laundry!......

timeshare?.....this is actually my Hideaway......theres also a family room, and a bedroom, including the kingsize waterbed....and a half bath.....theres already a small fridge...I need to add a stove, and it would be a small apt!...

Love the setup Martin. Some interesting things you did down there.

I want to clean up my laundry area to look a little nicer and have more space to move in when I am down there lol. Just need to see a few machines go and I think I will be there.

the "other" play room can't be shown in the Super forum!!!

Just teasing.... very nice Martin.. oh how I wish I had a basement, it would for sure have at least one set of something vintage.

Love the Mixmaster collection...I have the same one in the middle on the middle shelf, use it all the time. Bought it myself in 1987 and paid $80 for it. My family thought I was crazy spending that much money. I love how quiet it is.

WOW, MarTAN

That white Speed queen is gorgeous, and the wall of Maytags is a unique surprise. It looks like a laundromat. And a guest room in your washer paradise--how cool is that!

Martin that is looking fantastic got to get over there and see them next time I'm over there.
I have some ads for the Neptunes so you can frame them over the machines.
Nice work Mr.
Now for the second house.
What is in there now ?

Darren k.

Wow - great laundry room Martin!!

Are the avocado machines Speed Queens??    How much of the plumbing work did you do??  The setup looks good and sturdy!!

And of course, I love the mixer collection!   If you ever need parts or bowls,  I have hundreds...

Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for all the compliments......it ain't much, but its my little paradise...just working with what I got....I should have done pics way back when I bought the house in 1993.....the backroom had just a huge boiler/hotwater setup.....the front room was just a laundry tub, cold water only, and the electric dryer was never vented outside, the walls were black, all mold, once cleaned only to find the walls were actually pepto bismol puke, and the washer ran off the only light in the center of the room.....I updated back then, but not to the extent I did this time around......fresh paint just makes it look brighter and cleaner....and yes I am a home handy man.....I relocated the hotwater heater under the stairs to give room to line up the Neptunes....simple plumbing and added outlets across the room......for the front room, I ripped out all the plumbing and started new, and leaving ports to add more if needed, also moved the sink to the other corner and raised it, and intalled new outlets and lights.....the dehumidifier has its own standpipe, on full automatic now.....didn't think I was ever gonna get this completed to this point.....

now I can move onto the rest of the house, finishing little projects, it never ends....

Paul....I may have to contact you later......I need one beater for a mixer.....I'll send you a pic to match it up....yes, the avocado set are Speed Queen Solid Tubs, reversing motor...the white one has banging solenoids...

and Yes Darren....I want to get started on the other house, and have all the machines there hooked up at once too.....just have to work on a plan of what goes where.....

Lets pick a play date and do a mini-wash-in.......any members from surrounding areas are welcome.....Bring Laundry!.....

this pic is already the start of the other house.....yes another complete Fleet of Neptunes......I'm figuring dailydrivers on this wall, and vintage on the other...

Thanks Eric

BTW Jim.....in the "other" playroom...pay no attention to the hooks in the ceiling.....their for....umm.....hanging baskets....yeah, thats the ticket!

How very cool Martin!   Awesome job!

I wish I had a "basement" like that I could turn into a "laundry studio" or "laundry room" or "play room"!

Kevin

There is one downside to side opening lids......they kinda get in the way....

I was thinking a mini-meet wash-in somewhere around the end of Feb......sound good?

A little off the subject...

Yogi, in the first picture, with the neptunes, that white PVC pipe going out the wall - is that for radon? Does it go outside of the side of the house? I think we might need one and I want it inside the house. Did that have to be installed when you moved in?

No Bob...the white 4 inch pipes are vent lines for the dryers...each one has its own.....their inexpensive, easy to work with and install, and theres minimal lint build up with these.....

we don't seem to see too many issues of radon problems here in South Jersey.......but when I lived in Central Jersey, I seen alot of these radon removal blowers in the newer homes...
