Hi Guys.

I had problems with my Maytag washer. The machine started leaking and a service call was booked. The engineer came out and spent 2 hours fixing my machine. The engineer said the machine was fixed and if I had further problems he could investigate further. I tried a load in the machine and it was still leaking. Another service call was booked and he replaced the detergent dispenser unit, but this did not rectify the problem.

I then spoke to a Manager at Appliancecity.co.uk, the place where I bought the machine, and said I was not happy that a 2 month old machine should need a service call and the machine is still not working. I then phoned Which Legal Team and was told to refuse another service call and demand an exchange or refund. At first Appliancecity.co.uk refused to exchange the machine or give me a refund, then I let Which Legal get involved.

The result was I could have an exchange or a different machine, so this is what I decided to go for.

hey

have you tried it yet? i had a lg machine sorry make that 3! anyway i was thinking of a hoover in black but way way to loud on spin.

Congratulations!

I really can't wait to hear about your experience and first impressions,
and I really wish you'll like it just like I love my Candys (ok a little bit less than me is fair enough too xD...just joking :) )

Will you maybe be able to make videos of it?

Dex

Hi

I have not done a load of washing yet, but got loads to do today.

The machine is made in Italy and just hope she will be ok and not go wrong like my Maytag.

Paul

Stunning machine!

Is the cabinet real stainless steel or painted?
Over here you can only get Hoover washing machines in white and go figure they're made here by an Italian firm, just absurd!
I hope you'll be satisfied as much as I am with Candy appliances!

Hi

@dj-gabrlele, I would say the machines is painted and not stainless steel, the only down fall is you tend to get fingermarks on the dispaly area and control panel.

Louis,The all in one programmes lets you wash whites & coloureds at a 20c. I always wash my whites at 60c and colourds at 40c and never mix.

I was pleased with the Maytag, however, the aftercare was bad. I had to wait 2 weeks and 4 days for the part and was unable to use the machine. Thank god I got legal advice from Which Lawyers and told me what steps to take.

Really pleased with the machine, very silent, even on spin. Love the 8 jets and has nice deep rinses.

I was surprised it was made in Italy, but up to now it seems to be ok, lol.

Hi

Hi Dejan.

I really like the machine. Love the 8 jests and deep rinses. Will keep you posted as I venture using different programmes.

Cheers

Paul

Hi

Paul, I am glad you like it so far, but I also hope you will be able to tell me the same in a year or two aswell :)

You know you can contact me if anything about the machine buggs you, I'll be happy to help, as when it comes to new CandyHoovers, I think I really know them well, and that I could be helpful if needed.

Do the jets get as far as the back of the drum?

Dex

P.S
Enjoy the deep rinses...and share some with us :P

I'm so envious!

Congratulations for your new gorgeous machine! I got one of these last Christmas but a lower end model with a noisy brushed motor and a boring white finish. Oh... I love yours... can we swap :-P

Beside the joke, I wouldn't have wanted to buy an 11kg machine, and for some reason, the smaller version (mine is 8kg) does not come in that shiny colour, nor has a whisper quiet motor or a fancy LCD display. Mine doesn't say anywhere where it's been made... so I assume it's a Chinese model.

Was your Maytag a large capacity washer like this? And what was wrong with it?

I'm so looking forward to see a potential video of this beauty... t.b.h I am a bit wary of big tubs in small cabinets, all these 10kg (or over) machines, regardless of the brand, are either too fussy to let anything on spin or make unavoidable banging noises. Do let us know how this copes :-)

Paul,

Lovely machine! My M.I.L has the slim depth Hoover 7kg machine and loves it, she says its a lot better than the Hotpoint it replaced. Will be interesting to see the jets in action! A word of warning though, if you do a load of darks that may run ( new jeans for example ) run the machine through a rinse before putting in another load. I died a load of white towels a mottled blue when I had my Jetsystem, I had washed new jeans before hand and there was still water with dye in it in the pump.

I look forward to the video's of it. :-)

Hi Micks1979.

Yes the machine really had deep rinses. I was shocked to see how much water in the machine. Up to now really pleased with it.

cheers

Paul
