I've wanted to post a pic of these for a while now but I wanted to wait until we had been using them for a while. Overall I'm very happy with the pair, but I absolutely cannot stand the lid locking on the washer!

Congratulations On Your New W&D

You now have two of the most rugged and long lasting machines EVER made for home laundry.

You can remove the little latch thing from the lid and insert it in the washer top if you want to watch the machines work, although if you see the washer trying to agitate you may be disappointed so it might be better to just be happy with the smooth operation.

Nice looking washer and dryer. Love the control panel styling. Just looking at them, they remind me of older GE's of the late 80's early 90's!! Hope that they will serve you well for many, many years to come. Be sure to use a really good detergent and don't overload it, at SQ's recommendation.
Be sure to let us know how you like them.

Congratulations!

I too, really like the looks of the control panels.
It's nice to see the dark panels in contrast to the white machines.
Everything has been so monochromatic (or whatever they call it), that it makes these seem retro looking.
I hope you have great luck with them!

I'm confused (so what else is new?) Does the washer have the old style transmission guts or the new style? They certainly are attractive. One day I'll get my new SQ's into the house and hooked up. I regret not getting the more reliable knob controls instead of those electronic consoles.

I too like the looks of the 2018 panel. I have my eye on SQ if my 15 year old Maytag ever needs to be replaced. I’m used to short washer cycles so curious how long they are with the SQ?
