Lint
Hi Jon and Mike,
I think it's all in how you load and sort. I've had a honey comb drummed Miele in the 5.5kg model for about 3.5 years now.
We've got a Rotty who sheds at various times of the year like there is no tomorrow, and the Miele copes as well as the Whirlpool DD and BD machines did. In all 3 machines there is always some hair left, but not much. I usually time it so my next load is towels and then the little remaining hair blows off when it's all on the line. I just program in a high level extra rinse and it all seems to flush away.
If you had a fluffy shedding dog, it might be a problem, but if its a coarse haired dog you should be fine. The pump is self cleaning and everything seems to pass through it without a problem.
The linting thing I find surprising Mike, I line dry almost everything either inside or out and am yet to ever notice any lint on anything (occaisionally body hair) but never lint.
