Lint

Hi Jon and Mike,

I think it's all in how you load and sort. I've had a honey comb drummed Miele in the 5.5kg model for about 3.5 years now.

We've got a Rotty who sheds at various times of the year like there is no tomorrow, and the Miele copes as well as the Whirlpool DD and BD machines did. In all 3 machines there is always some hair left, but not much. I usually time it so my next load is towels and then the little remaining hair blows off when it's all on the line. I just program in a high level extra rinse and it all seems to flush away.

If you had a fluffy shedding dog, it might be a problem, but if its a coarse haired dog you should be fine. The pump is self cleaning and everything seems to pass through it without a problem.

The linting thing I find surprising Mike, I line dry almost everything either inside or out and am yet to ever notice any lint on anything (occaisionally body hair) but never lint.

I just went on British delights

I ordered some of the Persil Gel tabs and the non bio, plus some comfort, fairy liquid, the green one, I am so excited I could just spit! I was inspired by everyone here to seek it out and try it. I have the German persil, and have had fabulous results. I have never been brave enough to use Tide HE in my Miele, just because of the over sudsing problems that I have been told about, and the hot washes that I usually use. I hope that it hurries up and gets here, I am just excited. I have also used the Faks detergent, and had good resuts with it. It is also afordable at 15.95 a box, we don't have sales tax here in Oregon.
