Pretty in pink....

Wow Uni...you're more artistic than I thought. How DID you get those perfect swirls on the side?? <br
It looks too good to eat.. <br
And my, you have such nice hands, do you use Dawn? <br
LOL <br

Why thank you Maytagmom, I like swirls and swirling <br
Dawn, what's Dawn, is that some new fangled 70's dishwashing liquid? I use Joy in the glass bottle, of course. One capful does a sink full of dishes, god forbid I should ever wash a dish by hand.

That cake is beautiful. I make them myself also, I did my own wedding cake and on 8/15/06, I plan to make my own 25th cake too. I do not do too many wedding cakes as they do take a long time to make. I'd like to see some more pictures <br

Sure Mike, it was for my best friend that I've known since we were twelve. I did their wedding cake in 1980, so thought it would only be right if I did their aniversary. Only two I've ever done. I'll scan some pics of it in the making as I took pics during all phases. Not hard but very time consuming. The top tier was White cake with Strawberry filling, the center was French Vanilla with Custard and the bottom was French vanilla with Strawberry Cream. I'll scan pics and email them to you. Take Car <br

Robert that Pink Mountain Frosting looks so good!! What a beautiful cake Joe, they must have been very pleased. Robert you know we are going to want that recipe!! Terry

Erik that cake sure is a work of art, that looks like it took days to do and it sure is beautiful <br
Hi Terry, good idea, here is the Pink Mountain Frosting recipe. The trick here is when beating the eggs and syrup mixture, you MUST use a Sunbeam Mixmaster Junior in Pink or Turquoise, and in an emergency Chrome will work to. Don't use a modern plastic mixer from some big box retailer or your pink mountain frosting will be RUINED

The cake was great Uni....

But after doing a sink full of dishes, with Dawn no less...this is what it did to my hands! I MUST try that Joy in the glass bottle next time!

Thanks Robert so much for the recipe!! I am so glad that I found that Chrome Sunbeam Junior this summer when I was at Greg's. I know that it will make all the difference. Terry

I'm trying to get the Pink Mountain Frosting On

I'm guessing that you used a Sunbeam Mixmaster for that frosting???!!! Nothing whips frosing like the Sunbeam.....My mommy told me so:-)
