I love that kitchen with all of the different shades of blue, especially the dark blue countertop behind the children.

I do too Tom! And whats sad is that if there are any kitchens like this that have managed to survive in good condition chances are that if the home is ever sold the new buyers will tear it up and do a “complete gut job” because its not their ‘“style”, which is of course their prerogative as the new owners, but its still a travesty.

I’d keep it just as it is. It’s cheerful.

I like that kitchen, too. I believe the blue dishes are T.S.&T. Lu-Ray, which came in several colors. I see a yellow Hall China refrigerator dish, also sold with Westinghouse roaster-ovens at times.

That sink faucet looks too modern for WW II period.

I think Robert was a child model and never told us. He's adorable fighting gender stereotypes in that ruffled smock.

My maternal grandmother had a light blue counter top, I remember it was so easy to keep clean, and no stains. I preferred it over any other top. I loved the dishes also back in the day, with the wheat patterns and striped dish towels. Everything had a clean and inviting feeling to it.
