Thanks! I had a good laugh over the "Brussels" language. Overhere that means political talk of the politicians of the European Union. BTW, there is quite a difference between Flemish and Dutch, more or less the same as with British and American English.

Jup he's right. I live in flanders and when I'm talking to Dutchman I must explain every word. We use completely different words and pronounce some thing totally different. It's funny sometimes when I'm on vacation in the south of France. We can understand them but they can't understand me!!

Actually you in Belgium are more precise with your language than we are. I love watching the BRT (Belgian TV) for the language. BTW, I wonder if you can understand people from Suriname (in the same language union).

The numbers of dutchman looking to the Belgium tv are increased the last few months. Maybe our language is better but you are better in doing comments on for example the eurovision songcontest.
BTW The BRT has changed the name serveral times. Now it's VRT after beeing the BRTN and so on...

Actually now Suriname joined the language union a lot of new words are added to the dictionary that weren't official Dutch words before. Quite interesting!!
Don't start about the Eurovision songcontest!! LOL We are totally frustrated that we haven't been able to win it since 1970. It turned into a very camp thing here. Especially Paul de Leeuw is promoting it, but we still won't win!

If you see how we are ending mostly in the songcontest, I'm ashamed to be Belgium. We always think we gonne win but mostly the flemish songs are ending last and the french songs (those from wallon) are ending mostly on top so it's frustraded for us
