Hi! Club Friend's, I thought that this Subject would get your attention, to see what is was all about, enjoy...

Sacto Teddy Bear...

John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area of Georgia.

After spending a great evening chatting the night away, John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast. However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his grandfather asking, "Are these plates clean?"

His grandfather replied, "They're as clean as cold water can get them. Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!"

For lunch the old man made hamburgers. Again, John was concerned about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked, "Are you sure these plates are clean?"

Without looking up the old man said, "I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!"

Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass. John yelled and said, "Grandfather, your dog won't let me get to my car".

Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted to his Dog ...
"COLDWATER, GO LAY DOWN!!!!"

Re: Just-A-Joke Story:

Hey! That was certainly just a joke story, but I knew someone a long time ago, who told me about how to get rid of "Unwanted Guests" in a similar way. They had some Neighbor's who would invite theirselves for Dinner, more times than one, so she decided to do something to have them not invite theirselves over any more. She took the Dishes off the Table in the Dining Room and placed them on the Kitchen Floor, having their Dog's licking the Dishes. The Neighbor's came in seeing this happening, as well as my Friend then placing the Dishes back in the Cabinet. The Neighobr's asked if that was the way that she Washed the Dishes? She answered Yes, so they left, never to be heard from ever again. Naturally, my Friend had counted all of the Dishes and after the Neighbor's had left, she took them all out and placed them in the Dishwasher, to actually Wash them properly.

Peace and Happy Dish-Washing, Steve

cold water clean

don't tell Tide about this....!!!!

I hear the same "story" about 38 years ago. My Scoutmaster told it at a Den meeting....only it was set on a camping trip, and the dog's name was Three Rivers..."clean as Three Rivers can get 'em"....

I have a 15 week old puppy. The other day I walked in the kitchen and she had climbed up onto the open dishwasher and was going to town on the dirty dishes. It was very cute, now I have to be careful not to pin one of her paws when I close the door because she is always trying to sneak a lick!

Lick 'em and leave 'em!

Our Cleo sneaks a "lick" in the dishwasher when the door is opened. I always tell her, "I don't need any help with the dishes today, thank you." Some of the cats have also been know to "nose around" as well. My philosophy - never turn your back on a four-footed friend when there is any food nearby (including dish crud). LOL
