Have not use that at all. but have used the Stain Packs and they are VERY good. But just dont understand why with the cost of tide as it is It should clean everything with out adding anything at all. The tide proline formula that I am on a trial with at this time does clean like that. Beats all the "home tide" hands down.. More like tide and the stain packet are together in it.. But is also VERY costly if you dont buy thru national discount as we have.. 5 gallon is well over 300 with out it.. but the use rate is extremely low.. only 1.5 oz on a 50 lb load and only 3 oz on a 150 lb load.. VERY cost effective for us. And does so well we dont need other products . and we save as we do not have to use a sour with it either. The Downy pro line is also super . only 1 oz on a 150 lb load. and the load is the softest I have ever seen.. FAR be it from me to sing praise to P & G but these products are very good. and in this area they are stabbing Ecolab in the back..

Thanks Sudsman.

Just to go off topic for a sec, thanks Sudsman for speaking the praises of Sears Ultra Plus. I got some and am VERY pleased with it.

And now back to the regular topic,
I do remember Tide Kick. You fill it with liquid detergent and use it to pre-treat stains and ring around the collar. I think it was a good idea because it makes it easy to use liquid detergent to pre-treat instead of relying on Shout or Spray N Wash as most people do.

It's not rocket science, it's just a little marketing,
Dave

Tide Vanilla Lavender, dish detergent and the Maytag.

What happened to the Tide Vanilla Lavender detergent and Vanilla Lavender softener? I just bought out a supply of Vanilla Lavender softener from a supermarket that still had some old bottles (7).
The VL tide detergent I cannot find. I LOATHE the "lavender Serenity" that replaced it.I was extremely disappointed when I bought a large bottle. The newer formula does not smell as nice. When it comes out of the dryer it does not smell like any thing at all. I am glad to have found some original Vanilla Lavender. Is it just me , or are companies discontinuing good things left and right? such as phosphorous in dishwasher detergent, Maytag timers and parts for the A series machines (208, 608 etc) and now this, Lol, the vanilla lavender?
what the hell are these companies thinking? they have fine products that customers like my self are very loyal to , and they pull them off the shelves. There is an old expression if it isn't broke, don't fix it. ?? what are your thoughts?
